2022年度は大きく2つの研究を行った。第一に、幼児期の「わからない」反応の発達的変化、特に「わからない」と言わない認知プロセスの縦断的変化について、収集していたデータの分析と研究発表を行った。横断的手法を用いた研究の参加児を対象に縦断的な検討を行った結果、横断的手法を用いた場合と実態レベルでは同様の発達的変化を示すことが見出された。ただし、統計的な結果としては必ずしも再現されたとは言えず、今後の課題が見出された。申請している研究課題の領域において、縦断的な手法を用いた検討を行っている先行研究は見当たらず、自身の研究の再現性の確認と、新たな研究手法の提案という意味で、意義ある知見が得られたと思われる。上記の成果は日本発達心理学会第34回大会にて発表した。第二に、幼児期の「質問される」行動の実態について、観察研究を行った。年少・年中・年長クラスのそれぞれの活動に参加し、先生と子どものやりとりを観察した。これは、「わからない」反応を研究する上で、実験室研究では捉えられない生態学的妥当性を備えた子どもの行動を捉えるとともに、どの程度「質問」コミュニケーションが子どもになされるのかという発展的な問いを解決するために行われた。申請している研究課題では、実験室内での統制された質問形式に着目していたが、子どもの日常生活においてどのような質問形式がどのようになされるのかを明らかにすることは、申請した研究課題の研究知見を子どもの日常生活と結び付けていくうえで重要なデータであると思われる。現在、収集したデータを分析している。
