令和4年度は、子どもの健康と環境に関する全国調査（エコチル調査）において8歳時点で血清を採取、保管されている被験者の母子手帳から得られたデータの整理を行った。「セービン株由来不活化ポリオワクチン含有四種混合ワクチン（sIPV含有四種混合ワクチン）」を4回接種済みの被験者と、「強毒株由来不活化ポリオワクチン（wIPV）」を4回接種済みの被験者を抽出した。sIPV含有四種混合ワクチンの最終接種から血清採取までの期間が5年以上の被験者から100例、wIPVの最終接種から血清採取までの期間が5年以上の被験者から100例をそれぞれ無作為抽出し、国立感染症研究所でポリオウイルス強毒株1型および、弱毒株1型、2型、3型に対する中和抗体価を測定いただいた。感染防御レベルとされる中和抗体価8倍以上だった例の割合を比較検討した。強毒株1型に対してはsIPV含有四種混合ワクチン接種例よりも、wIPV接種例で有意に高かった（57% VS 98%）。一方で弱毒株1型、2型、3型に対しては両ワクチン接種例の間で有意差を認めなかった（1型で93% VS 96%、2型で100% VS 98%、3型で99% VS 94%）。また、両ワクチンの最終接種から血清採取までの期間が5年以上6年未満の例と6年以上の例の間で比較検討した。中和抗体価8倍以上だった例の割合は、どちらのワクチン接種例においても強毒株1型、弱毒株1型、3型に対しては最終接種から5年以上6年未満の例よりも6年以上の例で低い傾向にあった。弱毒株2型に対しては、どちらのワクチン接種例においても5年以上6年未満の例と6年以上の例の間で同等であり、弱毒株2型に対する抗体価はどちらのワクチン接種例においても保たれやすい可能性があると考えられた。
