令和4年度は、認知症高齢者に対してリラクゼーションとして対象者の頭部に温熱刺激と触圧刺激を加えることで、睡眠状態にどのように影響を及ぼすか検討する実験を行う予定であった。しかし、コロナウイルス感染症拡大により対象者となる高齢者の安全を考慮した際に、本研究は直接対象者の身体に接触する研究であることから、研究の遂行を一時的に中断していた。その間、先行研究の文献検討と触圧刺激となるマッサージ手技の確立するために研修参加し、健常者へのマッサージ施術をして本実験に備えた。
