本研究課題の目的は、現代インドにおけるムスリムの政治運動がいかに生まれ、どのように展開しているか、そして宗教的少数派による組織的な運動がヒンドゥー多数派主義の確立を抑止する有効な手段になり得るための政治・社会的条件にはどのようなものがあるかについて考察することにある。本研究では、選挙を中心に展開する政党政治と選挙外で展開される運動の二つの動きに注目して、国内外で資料・情報収集を行っている。一年目（令和4年度）は、国内で入手可能な文献・資料の収集を進めるとともに、本研究課題にかかる最初の現地調査を2023年3月に行った。まず、国内での文献・資料収集では、アジア経済研究所図書館を訪問し、インドの学術雑誌や社会情報誌に掲載された選挙関連の特集・分析記事の調査・収集を行った。この資料収集では、2000年代以降に実施された選挙（連邦下院選挙・州議会選挙）について、各選挙における主な争点は何であったか、政党間の競争・連携はどのように展開していたかについて調査を進めた。次に、二年目（令和5年度）からの本格的なフィールドワークの実施に向けた準備調査のため、最初のインド出張を行った。この現地調査では、デリーとハイデラバードの二都市に滞在した。デリーではネルー図書館（Nehru Memorial Museum and Library）を訪問し、現地の学術雑誌に掲載された最近のインド政治分析論文を閲覧・調査した。ハイデラバードでは、まず、本研究課題とも関連する研究テーマに取り組んでいるインド人研究者との交流・関係構築のため現地大学を訪問した。今回の訪問で面会できた研究者とは、今後の研究活動と研究活動で得られた知見に対する客観的な意見を聞くため交流を維持していく予定である。またこの現地調査では、ムスリム・コミュニティの宗教関連施設や主な団体の所在地等を実地にて確認することができた。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the political and social conditions for the emergence, development, and suppression of organized movements by religious minorities. This study focuses on the development of party politics and election, and focuses on the collection of data and information at home and abroad. The first field survey of this research topic was conducted in March 2023. The research and collection of literature and data collected in China is carried out by visiting the Academic Journal and Social Information Journal. This data collection is based on the election since the 2000s (federal lower house election and state legislature election), the main point of contention for each election, the competition between political parties, and the development of the investigation. In the second and second years (order and 5 years), the company started to prepare for the investigation and the initial opening of the company. The investigation was carried out in two cities. The Nehru Memorial Museum and Library was visited and published in the local academic journals. This research topic is related to the communication between researchers and local universities. This year's interview will be held in person, and future research activities will be conducted in person. The investigation was conducted to confirm the location of the religious-related facilities.
