本年度は前年度に引き続き、大阪、名古屋、東京、福岡においてアジアの大衆文化の普及状況についての実地調査を行い、文化人類学・社会学・カルチュラルスタディーズの分野を中心に文献を調査し研究動向・展望を俯瞰することを行った。またその間、日本においては、5月の日本民族学会第33回研究大会における分科会「文化を売る/売ることの文化:ポピュラーカルチャーの人類学」を組織し、香港においては、12月の香港大学日本研究学科主催・国際交流基金後援のワークショップ「Japan in Hong Kong/Hong Kong in Japan:Systems of production、Circulation、and Consumption of Culture」に参加して、とくに「同人誌」の問題を扱った研究報告を口頭で行った。本年度も香港芸能専門店など、大衆文化の生産・流通・消費の結節点となる場所や商品、集団に注目して調査研究を行ったが、「同人誌」(「ミニコミ誌」ともいう)はそのなかでも興味深い研究対象である。それは、「おたく」や「コミケ」ということばで紹介される1980年代以降の消費社会の成熟と市場の多様化、消費者の生産・流通への積極的な関与にかかわる現代的な事象である。しかしながら、日本の「同人誌」ブームの歴史は1950年代の市民運動に遡ることができ、「アジア」ブームについては「反米帝国主義」としてのベトナム戦争反対など1960年代から70年代にかけての「アジアの民衆」の発見と自由旅行ブームなどとも関係がある。「香港」がいわば歴史的な場所となった今日の状況も踏まえ、「アジア文化」、「中国語圏」、「香港」などが歴史的にどのように日本人に受容されてきたのかということについて実証的なデータを積み重ねることで、今後もこの研究を深めていくことを考えている。

This year, compared with the previous year, we conducted a survey on the popularity of popular culture in Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo, and Fukuoka. We conducted a survey on the research trends and prospects of cultural anthropology, sociology, and cultural diversity. In May, the Japanese Ethnological Society organized the 33rd Research Conference on "Culture and Marketing: Anthropology"; in December, the University of Hong Kong hosted the International Exchange Fund's Research Conference on "Japan in Hong Kong/Hong Kong in Japan:Systems of production, Circulation, and Consumption of Culture"; and in December, the University of Hong Kong hosted the Research Conference on "Tongzhi". This year, Hong Kong's stores, mass culture, production, circulation, consumption, node, location, commodity, group attention, research,"fan journal"(""), and other interesting research objects. The maturity of consumer society since the 1980s, the diversification of markets, the positive relationship between consumers 'production and circulation, and the modern phenomenon are introduced.
