貯水池あるいは流域内の水質変化の検証および将来予測するには通常数値計算モデルが用いられる計算に際し、入力値として各種水文・気象データが必要となる.本研究のフィールドである安濃ダム流域では、従来よりダム管理所における実測データおよび津気象台の観測データを用いてきた.これら貴重なデータを広く多数の研究者が利用可能とするため、水文気象データのデータベース化を試みた.データベース公開にあたり、手軽に利用できるようにWWWでブラウザからアクセスする形式を採用した.本年度購入したコンピュータにPC-UNIX(FreeBSD)をインストールし、サーバとした。このサーバにデータベース(PostgreSQL)、httpサーバ(Apache)、PHP等のソフトウェアをインストールすることにより、ブラウザ経由で水文気象データにアクセス可能なデータベースシステムを構築した.気象庁発行の気象月報CDから日単位の気象データを取り出し、データベースへ自動登録できるようにした.観測点と期間を指定することにより、指定されたデータを取得できる.ダム管理所のデータには欠側値が含まれることから、その一覧も表示できるようにした.また、通常水質モデルの計算は日単位で行われるので、時間データから日データを自動作成するようにした.
