项目摘要

隠匿情報検査では、対象者に対して犯罪事実と合致する裁決項目と、事実とは異なる非裁決項目とを呈示し、前者に対する生理反応が顕著であれば対象者が事件を認識していると推定される。実務では裁決項目1個を非裁決項目3～4個程度と混在させた質問リストが使用されることが多いが、呈示項目数が検査結果に及ぼす影響については、これまでに十分検討されていない。そこで、質問リストを構成する項目数の多寡が隠匿情報検査の結果に及ぼす影響を、模擬犯罪パラダイムにより実験的に検討した。実験参加者29名を模擬窃盗実行群(14名)と無関係群(15名)に割り当てた。実行群の参加者は名刺入れから図書カードを抜き取って隠し、無関係群の参加者は何もしないで待機した。隠匿情報検査では被害品と入れ物という2種類の主題について、いずれか一方は5項目条件(裁決1+非裁決4)、他方は2項目条件(裁決1+非裁決1)で質問リストを作成し、参加者に呈示しながら皮膚伝導度反応(SCR)、呼吸速度(RS)、心拍数(HR)、規準化脈波容積(NPV)を計測した。各項目はディスプレイの文字と人工音声で呈示し、主題と項目数条件の組み合わせはカウンタバランスした。検出回避の動機づけとして額面1,000円の図書カードまたはクオカードを進呈した。指標毎に裁決-非裁決項目間の反応差を比較したところ、SCRとNPVでは5項目条件でのみ群間に差がみられたが、RSとHRでは2項目でも5項目でも群間に差が認められた。ROC分析では、2項目条件でRSとHR、5項目条件でSCR、HR、NPVが、いずれも0.7以上のAUCを示した。この結果は、裁決項目と非裁決項目が1つずつという最低限の構成であっても、計測指標によっては事件に対する対象者の認識の有無が推定可能であることを示唆している。本研究の知見は検査時間の縮減による効率化や3つ以上の選択肢が想定不能な主題に関する検査の実施等、ポリグラフ検査実務に寄与するところが大きいだろう。
