1.研究目的中学生の大半が所有し,使用経験を持っているカメラ機能付き携帯電話やデジタルカメラについて,学校教育における活用の可能性やの教育的価値について,美術教育として「写真」にどう関わるかを探り,その歴史や芸術性の学習と同時に,自身で撮影活動に取り組むことで構成力や表現力の育成を図った。2.研究方法および成果(1).美術館訪問および教科書出版社取材東京都写真美術館を訪問し,学校教育との関わりについてのお話を伺った。そこで明らかになったのは,展覧会鑑賞はもちろん,専門学科を持つ学校や写真部の活動の発表の場所としての施設活用,カメラの仕組みや現像の方法についてのワークショップの実施といった実践はこれまでにも行われているが,「撮影」におけるテーマや表現方法についての学習はほとんど行われていないことであった。教科書出版社への取材では,これまでに小中学校で実践された写真に関する授業の資料や,教科書,資料集に掲載された写真に関する内容を提供していただいた。前回の学習指導要領の改訂以降,表現活動の方法の一つとして写真が扱われる場面は増えているが,やはりその目的や習得する知識・技能については明確になっていないことが明らかになった。(2).デジカメを使った授業実践金沢21世紀美術館に協力を仰ぎ,中学3年生対象に風景の撮影を行った。風景の一部を矩形で切り取る意識を指導することで,画面構成における形や色の表現に明らかな変化が見られた。中学2年生対象の色の学習では,デジカメの白黒モードを用いて色カードを見ることで,色の三属性(明度,彩度,色相)についての理解が容易になることが明らかになった。中学1,2年生を対象に行った,クラスの友人を撮影し,そのポートレートを撮る活動では,お互いにインタビューをし合いながら撮影することで,自然な子どもたちの表情を引き出すことができた。
