研究目的市町村合併や町名変更により、古くからの地名が急速に失われると共に区画整理などにより境界が変わって元の場所が特定できない。これは、行政当局が古い書類を一定の年数が経過すると廃棄処分するためで、古くからある地域の共有財産を分配できないなどの問題を抱えている。近年編集された冊子は資料として保管する様になりましたが、一旦失われたものを復元するのは極めて困難で、根気が必要な作業で市町村等の公の機関では行われていないのが現状である。本研究では、郷土の歴史を調べて失われつつある古い地名やアイヌ語との関連と遺跡・史跡を調査し、現在の地図上に古地名を書き込み、郷土の歴史を編纂することを通じて社会貢献をする。研究方法図書館、古本屋で古地図を探し、今までに歴史・史跡・遺跡の講演活動を通じて出来た人脈を辿りながら聞き取り調査をした。情報収集する人脈を広げるために地域の文化祭で発表し講演も行った。現在、「中野村誌」と「消防東組」編纂を進めている、近いうちに自費出版して隣接地域からもより、幅広く情報を集めるための環境を構築する。研究成果1.簗川流域についてのアイヌ語と古地名については、ほぼ特定が出来た。2.現在の地図上に古地名を重ねた地図の作成は旧市街地については特定出来た。3.本研究の一部を中野地区活動センター主催の文化祭に出展した。題名は「簗川流域における古地名とアイヌ語の関連について」4.中野小学校から、文化祭に出展したパネルを児童の教育に使いたいとの話があり寄付を依頼された。5.今回の調査で、簗川流域上流の地域住民との人脈も出来て予定外の沢の名前等も知ることが出来た。6.科研費で購入したオートプロジェクターを使った講演は好評だった。7.この研究を更に進めて自費出版する予定です。(アイヌ語と訛りについて更に研究するためには、更なる研究費、出張旅費を必要とします。)
