○研究目的本研究においては、次の2点を重視した。・中学生が学習する政治経済を、現在社会の動きと結びつける。・中学生が興味を持ち、かつ理解しやすくする。従来型の教科書・資料集や新聞記事では生徒の意欲関心を喚起することが経験的に困難であった。そこで、TVニュース番組の映像を活用して、現代社会における政治や経済での特徴的な事象を取り上げ、子どもが自らわかりやすい解説を加え、子どもニュースを作成することで、社会への関心を高め、生きた知識として、理解する」ことを目指した。○研究方法NHKの「週刊子どもニュース」を参考にしながら、子どもたちど一緒に、取り上げる時事問題を決める。そして、題材を調べ、取材をし、ビデオ番組を作成する。そして、その作品を他の生徒に見せ、その学びを共有し、社会事象への関心の高まりを発言や感想文から考察する。○研究成果社会的に大きな関心が寄せられた社会的事象から、取り上げる題材を探った。作品作成の過程に定まった方針としては、「週刊子どもニュース」をそのまま使用することはせず、一般ニュースでの画像を活用するが、求める画像が無い場合は、自作することとした。子ども向けの番組のため、どうしても自作場面が多くなった。そのため、実際の番組制作には数週間を費やした。「赤ちゃんポストの設置」や「豊岡でのコウノトリの放鳥」などのニュース番組が完成した。今回の実践研究の成果としては、制作に関わった生徒の経験や関連能力の伸長、社会的事象への関心は確かめられた。しかし、鑑賞するだけの他生徒の社会的関心向上については明確な手応えが得られなかった。仲間が作成した苦労や親近感を持てず、どうしても一般テレビ番組視聴と同じように見てしまうからだと考察する。よって課題点は、より簡易に制作できるシステムの開発と、視聴段階での関心向上についてである。
