项目摘要

所属の技術部では、工学研究科創造工学センターと連携して、学生、院生を対象に「ものづくり講座」を開催している。昨年度、外国人留学生に電子回路コース開催したが、ハンダづけ・部品の取り付け・配線の引き回し・板金等において、その技量には大きな個人差があった。また、技術部側の英語コミュニケーション能力の不足により円滑な説明が出来なかったこともあり、共通の言語である英語版の教材の必要性を強く感じた。英語版のメカトロニクス工作等の実用教材は少なく、円滑な電子回路工作指導および需要に即したメカトロニクス工作の入門教材として、講座の事前学習や復習に利用できる英語版視聴覚教材(ビデオ&写真)とWebによる配信システム(On-Demand System)を制作した。内容は、1. 外国と日本では安全に関する認識の違いがあると思うので、まずTop pageで安全について触れた。2. 英語表記は米語を基本として、英米で刊行されている書籍やWeb pageでの言い回しを参考にした。3. ビデオはテーマ毎に4分程度以内に編集して、Webからダウンロードの際の受信負担軽減を図った。4. ハンダ付けやパネル加工などでは、これまでの受講者の実際の映像と技術職員の手本を比較して、初心者が陥りやすい失敗の因をより具体的に示した。5. 視聴は、学内の各研究室での電子回路工作時にもオンタイムで視聴できるよう、創造工学センターのWebサーバにインストールして利用環境を整える。内容については、画面構成を含めてまだまだ改良・増量の余地は多く残っており、今後はこの奨励研究費で整備された環境を有効に活用して、更に完成度を高めていく所存である。
