研究目的:長崎県内で重度障害により四肢麻痺となり、自立した生活が困難となっている人のために病院・施設や患者ざん宅を訪問し、コンピュータやメカトロニクス技術を応用して意思伝達装置や環境制御装置等の自立を支援する装置を製作し提供する。研究成果1、電動車イス利用の脳性マヒ患者の依頼により独自のカメラ操作装置を製作し、電動車イスに取り付けて、どこでも自由に写真を撮影する装置を製作した。四肢は全く使えず、カメラをあごで動かすことを前提とする。本操作装置は電動車イスのフレームに取り付けられ、その上下の向きをアゴで調節できるようにした。また、カメラのシャッターの電源スイッチのON/OFFとシャッターのONを行う操作スイッチも製作し取り付けられている。2、重度障害者用のためにタッチセンサを利用して家電製品のON/OFF操作ができる装置を製作し提供した。タッチセンサ回路は人間がタッチセンサ部に触れると、タッチセンサーとGND間にわずかな電流(数μA)が流れ、そのわずかな電流を数Vの電圧に増幅する。この信号をワンチップCPUで処理することで、センサを触れているかどうかを確認することができる。その信号を検知すると、ナースコールの押しボタンをONとするようにワンチップCPUとリレーで装置を製作した。3、脳梗塞で上肢に障害があり細かい動作ができないので、TVのリモコンを操作できるようにして欲しいとの依頼があり、タッチスイッチを製作し提供した。学習リモコンと大型押しボタンで患者さんは操作したいスイッチを軽くタッチすることにより接点が閉じて電源のON/OFFや、チャンネルをUPし好きなチャンネルで停めることができる。使用者の現状カメラ操作装置は、適度のメンテナンスをしながら現在患者さんが使用中で大変満足しています。タッチセンサ回路は、長崎県内の障害者が福祉施設・病院・自宅等で使用中です。タッチスイッチは提供後、作業療法士さんから次のようなコメントがありました。「センサありがとうございます。笑顔がとても印象的です。満足されています。」と報告がありました。今回の研究実績は平塵20年度京都大学総合技術研究会で報告しました。
