项目摘要

1.研究目的本研究はスピーチに焦点を当て,日本人高校生による自己評価の妥当性を検証するとともに,自己評価の特徴を明らかにすることを目的とした。2.研究方法および結果公立高校の日本人高校生52名を対象に英語スピーチの自己評価を行った。自己評価の妥当性はMessick(1996)を基に,構造的要素,外的要素,内容的要素,実質的要素,影響的要素の5つの側面から検証した。構造的要素は,ラッシュモデル分析を行って検証した。その結果,自己評価はラッシュモデルに適合したが(Infit Mean Square=1.35),教員評価や相互評価に比べ適合の程度はやや低かった。外的要素は自己評価と教員評価の平均値との相関から検証した。相関は中程度(r=.46,p<.01)で,外的要素の妥当性は高くないと思われる。内容的要素では自己評価が授業内容と関連しているか,実質的要素では自己評価がスピーチの能力を評価しているかのアンケート分析を行った。その結果,いずれの妥当性の要素においても自己評価は肯定的に受け止められており,十分な妥当性があると思われる。さらに,アンケートに自己評価の肯定的効果を記入した生徒は47.6%で、影響的側面でもある程度の妥当性を有すると考える。これら5つの側面の結果から自己評価の妥当性は部分的に認められる一方,深澤(2009)で認められた相互評価の妥当性と比べると高いとは言えなかった。3.研究成果コミュニケーション能力の育成が英語教育の焦点となっている現在,日本人高校生のスピーチにおける自己評価の妥当性がどの程度であるか明らかになった点で本研究は意義があると思われる。また,本研究から日本人高校生のスピーチにおける自己評価について,1)教員評価を補完するものとして活用するには必ずしも適していない,2)スピーチの反省や動機付けに使う方が効果的である,という2点が示唆された。
