本研究の目的は学生の学習意欲を高めるeラーニングシステムの開発を行うことである。これを開発するにあたり、既存のeラーニングシステムでは学部に特化したものとすることが難しいため、オープンソースのソフトウェアであるLAMP(Linux+Apache+MySQL+PHP)を使用して開発を行った。本システム(http://www.den.hokudai.ac.jp/e-learning/login/)では学生の授業情報の閲覧(講義の音声や動画等)や教員が当システムを用いて作成した試験やアンケートへの参加、またそれらの採点や成績管理などをWEBを介して可能とした。以下に開発された当システムの機能の概要を示す。【教材の作成】教材(テキスト・画像・動画)の作成は全て文字の入力及び画像や動画についてはhtmlタグの入力で行うようにした。画像の掲載は当システムの画像アップローダを介し<img>タグを入手、それを入力することで対応した。動画の掲載は動画共有サイトへ限定公開された物の<iframe>タグを入手しそれを入力することで対応した。公開される教材には科目名や公開対象グループ(例1年生、2年生等)を設定する事ができ閲覧者の制限を行うことが可能である。【試験の作成】当システムにおける試験とは設問文に回答欄を付与した形式で、作成者は一つの設問文に対し一つ又は複数の回答欄を設けることができ、これら設問文の集合を試験とするものである。このシステムによって作成された試験の回答方式は歯科医師国家試験にならい多岐選択式としている。【アンケートの作成】設問文及び回答欄の作成は試験の作成に準ずるが、アンケートはより柔軟な回答を回収できるよう回答の種類を単一選択式、複数選択式及び自由記述式を設定できるようにした。【学習者】学習者はIDとパスワードを用いて当システムへログインする。学習者毎にグループを設定、所属するグループに対して公開されている教材の閲覧や、試験又はアンケートへの参加を行うことができる。以上のことから、当システムは既存のeラーニングシステムと同等の機能を持ち合わせたeラーニングシステムであると言え、また、当システムはクローズドな環壌で実施される試験にも応用が可能な汎用性の高いものであり、現在CBT(Computer Based Testing)試験への応用を検討している。
