今年度の研究により、軽演劇の各段階において、以下のような成果が得られた。1.浅草オペラの舞踊は、女性の脚部の存在を強調し、エロチシズムをその一要素として位置付けた。2.映画館のアトラクションは、浅草レビュー以前に、スピーディな展開とエロチシズムの2つの特性を含め、レビューを浅草の大衆に紹介した。上演された舞踊は、"エロ"と"脚線美"の2つを提供する存在だった。3.浅草レビューではエノケンこと榎本健一の他、様々なレビュー劇団や舞踊団の活動も合わせ、改めて概観、浅草オペラの俳優のほとんどがエノケンとは別に活動した。ジャズ音楽、規制を受けるほどの西洋風のエロチシズムに満ちた舞踊、思考を要さず感性や感覚に訴える内容が、当時のエロ・グロ・ナンセンスに象徴される退廃的・刹那的・享楽的な風潮に合致し、また他の大衆文化にはない魅力として、浅草の大衆の支持を得た。4.芸術舞踊に対し、軽演劇の舞踊は、エロチシズムが重要な要素であり、芸術性の追及は行われなかったという点に限界があった。5.以上の研究成果は、映画館のアトラクションに関し、第42回舞踊学会にて演題「映画館のアトラクションに関する一考察I-浅草レビュー期において-」で研究発表(96年12月)、浅草レビューに関し、日本体育学会第47回大会にて演題「1920年代の浅草の大衆文化における女性ダンサー-浅草レビューの女性ダンサーに関する一考察-」で研究発表(96年9月)、スポーツ史学会会報「ひすぽ」第35号にて「浅草レビューの舞踊における衣装」の題名で報告(97年2月発行)の他、「浅草レビューの舞踊スタイル-1920年代における軽演劇の舞踊-」にまとめた(97年3月刊行の『早稲田大学人間科学研究』第10巻第1号に掲載予定)。
