本年度は、昨年度の調査を補完するためのデータ収集を目的とするアンケート調査「経済学部(大学)出身者の教育と就業状況に関する調査」を、主要3私立大学卒業生(社会科学系学部出身者で昨年度とは別サンプル)に対して郵送で実施した。実施時期は、A大学が2001年2月、B大学とC大学が2000年11月であり、いずれも2000名(計6000名)のサンプリングに対して3割程度の回収を得ている。現在集計作業を進行中であるが、調査票は、概ね「1基本属性」「2高校までの教育」「3大学における教育」「4転職・独立・再就職とリカレント教育」「5今後のキャリア形成」「6将来世代に対する教育ビジョン」に分けて構成されており、それぞれ以下に挙げた項目に関する問いを設定している。1 性別・生年月・年齢・配偶者の有無・子供の人数・欲しい子供の人数と理由・大学在学期間・両親の最終学歴2 出身学校の種類・(不)得意科目・役立った(役立たなかった)科目・勉強するべきだった科目3 入学方法・共通一次(センター試験)受験の有無・受験科目・専門科目に関する学業成績4 転職経験・転職時期・転職による労働条件変化・現在の就業状況・現在の労働所得・リカレント教育の内容5 定年制度・将来的な就業希望・高年齢就業のための必要条件6 現在の高校までの教育の問題点・現在の大学教育の問題点・将来世代に勉強して欲しい科目本調査では、教育全般に対する問いを重点的に設けると同時に、昨年度の調査と共通する問いも設けているため、新たな知見と共に昨年度のデータによる分析の追試も期待できる。また、大学受験科目とその後の学業成績やキャリア形成との関係については、非常に興味深い結果が得られており、今後図書や雑誌等による発表を速やかに行う予定である。
