项目摘要

本年度は以下の研究を行なった.● オブジェクトデータベースの環境でのメソッドマイグレーション処理の実現手法を提案し,実際にシステムとして実装した.分散処理を考えた場合,処理内容や処理する際の環境の状況によってはメソッドマイグレーションにより処理したほうが効率化が望める場合がある.ところが分散処理をサポートするオブジェクトデータベースでは,一般にデータマイグレーションしか提供していない.われわれは商用オブジェクトデータベースとJavaを用いて,オブジェクトの持つメソッドそのものをデータベースへ格納し,そのメソッドを移動させ,動的にアクティブなプロセスにロードおよびリンクさせることによりメソッドマイグレーションを実現できることを示した.● オブジェクトデータベースを使ったXMLデータの管理手法を検討した.われわれはDOM(Document Object Model)をサポートする,オブジェクトデータベースによるXMLデータの管理のため,オブジェクトデータベースでDOMをサポートするクラスを設計し,実現のための拡張を施して実装した.これにより,一般にDOMをサポートするアプリケーションはわれわれの実装したデータベースで管理されるXMLデータに適用することが可能である.また,データベースで管理するXMLデータに対して問合せを施して希望のデータを検索できるばかりでなく,それらに対しての更新が可能になった.● CORBA環境における画像処理の分散並列処理による効率化を考え,適切な画像の分割手法について考察した.分散環境において,アイドルであるどの計算機を使って,それぞれにどれだけの処理を依頼すればよいかを判断するアルゴリズムを提案し,実際に実装してその有効性を検証した.
