1.心理要因における基礎的因子の抽出個々の評価語対を用いて主観評価実験を行った。結果を主成分分析して冗長性を除去した後、十分大きな累積寄与率を持つ主成分を心理要因として定義した。因子分析を行い、大きな因子負荷量を持つ評価語を抽出した。これら形容詞を総称するような単語をもって心理要因とした。定義した心理要因は、評価性、強靭性、一般性、抑揚性の4要因である。2.書美を構成する要素の抽出と物理要因の定義書道家の意見を参考に書美を構成する要素をまとめ、その要素を近似できるような物理要因を書道作品から抽出し、21種の物理要因を定義した。3.物理要因による心理要因の推定物理要因による心理要因の推定を行なうために、評価モデルを定義した。心理要因と物理要因間の関係を線形重回帰モデルにより求める。変数増減法を用いて定義した21個の物理要因を12個に集約しモデルに用いた。評価モデルを用いて物理要因による心理要因の推定を行い、重相関係数を算出した結果、評価性0.931、強靭性0.964、一般性0.821、抑揚性0.828という高い推定精度を得る事が出来た。4.評価モデルの汎用性モデルを構築するのに使用した作品を書いた書道家が異なったイメージで書いた同じ文字を評画する事が出来るか、違う書道家が書いた同じ文字を評価する事が出来るか、違う書道家が書いた、異なる文字を評価する事が出来るか、の3点において、本評価モデルの汎用性の確認を行なった結果、本評価モデルが予測した値が妥当である事が確認され、本評価モデルは汎用性があるといえる。
