これまでに数量化表現の照応的解釈に関する論文を完成させた(「文法理論:レキシコンと統語(シリーズ言語科学第一巻)』に掲載予定)。wh表現は長い間数量子的表現として取り扱われてきた。しかし、本論文で、我々はwh表現は自身数量子的力を持たない表現を導入する変更として分析されるべきであることを示した。そのようなwh表現の数量子的力はwh表現自身にはないと我々は主張した。むしろ数量子的力はwh表現が結び付いている「か」や「も」といった助詞にある。wh表現と「も」の関係を説明するために、我々は動的意味論による分析を行った。前年に発表した動的状況の研究の成果をもとに我々は動的意味論の新しいモデルを作り上げた。このモデルは統語レベルの表現をHeim and Kratzer(1998)のモデルのように直接意味解釈するようになっている。しかし、我々のモデルはさらにGroenendijk and Stokhof(1991)の動的意味論の研究の核心部分も取り入れた形になっている。我々の分析はHeim and Kratzer(1998)のFunctional Applicationの動的意味論的分析への導入ということにつきる。この新しい法則はただ一つでHeim and Kratzer(1998)のFunctional ApplicationとPredicate Abstractionの二つがすることを成し遂げる。同時にこれは数量子の照応的特性とその束縛上の特性の両方を保つ動的分析を可能にする。

This paper is about quantitative expression and illumination ("Grammar Theory: Language Theory"). Wh performance is the performance of the long middle number of children.
