本研究は、妊娠・産褥期における女性の骨量の保持と産後の骨量のスムーズな回復のために、望ましい保健指導とは何かを明らかにすることを目的とする。昨年度に引き続き、妊娠初期から産後1年まで縦断調査を行う。昨年と同様の調査対象者に対し、超音波骨密度測定器による骨密度測定、採血・採尿による骨代謝マーカー測定、生活習慣などの聞き取り、アンケートによる食事摂取量調査を行った。平成14年3月現在で骨密度測定調査を実施した者は、妊娠初期(11〜13週)39名、妊娠中期(24〜27週)34名、妊娠末期(36週以降)37名、産後1週以内38名、産後40日38名、産後3ヶ月29名、産後6ヶ月25名である。また、採血・採尿を行った者は、妊娠初期38名、妊娠中期33名、妊娠末期31名、産後40日30名、産後3ヶ月25名、産後6ヶ月21名である。調査結果:妊娠各期のスティフネスの平均値は、妊娠初期89.9±12.0、妊娠中期91.2±11.4、妊娠末期88.7±11.3、産後1週以内85.7±11.4、産後40日87.6±11.6、産後3ヶ月86.0±12.0、産後6ヶ月86.7±12.3であった。産褥1年については現在調査中である。結果は、年齢、食事内容、活動、出産回数、児の栄養方法、産後の無月経期間などの因子との関連を分析中である。
