1.目的:前年度の調査により、高齢者の健康運動継続支援のためには生活ストレスを軽減させることが必要であることが明らかになった。その結果を踏まえ、本研究では、生活ストレスをめぐる悪循環サイクルを断つためのITを活用した効果的な遠隔支援システムの開発を目的とした。この悪循環するサイクルとは、運動継続群では、運動継続による生活ストレスの軽減→精神健康度や生活満足度の向上→何らかの強い生活ストレス→運動中断→精神健康度や生活満足度の低下というサイクルである。カウンセリングにより生活ストレスを軽減が可能であることは確認されている。そこで、本研究では、ITを活用した遠隔支援によるカウンセリングで生活ストレスの軽減が可能か否かを検討した。2.方法:本研究のために新しいカウンセリング法を開発し、運動中断予防カウンセリングという予防的カウンセリング法を運動を定期的に行っている29名の高齢者を対象にして行った。それは、光ファイバー、Lan方式を用いて、遠隔でテレビ電話により行われた。3.得られた成果:(1)カウンセリング実践事例のデータをもとに、高齢者の運動中断予防カウンセリングによる健康運動行動支援マニュアルが完成し冊子を作成した。(2)ITを活用した効果的な遠隔支援システムの開発のためにハードの問題解決(画質・送受信環境・機器)を行った。(3)事例の質的分析の結果、運動中断に結びつく何らかの強い生活ストレスとは、高齢者の場合には、運動仲間や家族の人間関係、介護者の発生、家業の世代交代、子どもが自立しないというものであった。(4)カウンセリング前後で、運動意欲や運動継続の自信度が向上し、ストレス源の軽減がみられた。運動中断予防カウンセリング法によるIT活用の遠隔支援システムは効果があることが示唆された。
