1.非アラブ人に対するアラビア語教材として、サウディアラビア教育省出版のal-'Arabiyah li-al-nashi'in全6冊、同国のイマーム・ムハンマド大学分校アラブイスラーム学院(東京)が出版・使用のSilsilah Tokyo li-ta'lim al-'arabiyah全6冊、ヨルダン大学言語センター使用のNun wa-al-qalam3冊、al-'Arabiyah li-al-natiqin bi-ghayriha3冊など計11冊、チュニジアのマナール大学ブルギバ現代語インスティテュート使用のal-'Arabiyah al-mu'asirah計5冊、シリアのダマスカス大学言語教育インスティチュート使用のKitab al-mubtadi' fi ta'lim al-lughah al-'arabiyah li-ghayr al-natiqin計2冊、クウェート大学語学学校使用のal-Silsilah al-mustawa al-thani1冊について、各課の構成、本文、文法、語彙、練習問題などを整理・分析し、それらのデータをPCに入力した。また、大阪外国語大学がこれまでに使用してきた教材のうち、Haywood ＆ Nahmad, A new Arabic grammar of the written language、Abboud et al., Elementary Modern Standard Arabic, Part 1-2、Abboud et al., Modern Standard Arabic Intermediate Level, Part I-II、Schulz et al., Standard Arabic An elementary-intermediate course、Dickins ＆ Watson, Standard Arabic An advanced courseについても、同様な分析を行い、データをPCに入力した。2.アラブ諸国や欧米諸国の非アラブ人向けアラビア語教材(教科書、参考書、辞書)の収集に努めた。3.研究分担者は、それぞれのテーマで報告・研究をまとめた。
