大阪府脊髄損傷協会の協力を得て、近畿圏に在住する脊髄損傷者を対象として、よりよい医療を考えるためのアンケートをWEB調査で実施し、100件の回答を得た。その回答結果の概要を以下に示す。1)性別:男性84名、女性16名、平均年齢46.2±12.8歳(13歳〜76歳)2)受傷時期(年代別):1950年代1名、1960年代6名、1970年代18名、1980年代27名、1990年代30名、2000年代17名、未選択1名3)損傷部位:頸部損傷44名、胸部損傷35名、腰部損傷20名、未選択1名4)受傷後から現在までの入院回数:1回31名、2回39名、3回15名、4回5名、5回6名、6回0名、7回2名、8回1名、未選択1名5)療養中のキーパーソン:家族83名、入院患者56名、脊髄損傷者仲間44名、病院・施設職員67名、地域の福祉サービス担当職員9名、ボランティア4名、その他の人22名(複数回答)(1)「病院・施設職員」をキーパーソンとした人の内訳:医師30名、看護師48名、PT49名、OT29名、ソーシャルワーカー24名、その他の職員9名(2)「地域の福祉サービス担当職員」をキーパーソンとした人の内訳:市区町村職員7名、ケアマネージャー1名、ホームヘルパー2名、その他の職員4名6)合併症(褥瘡・尿路感染・尿路結石の受療経験):「ある」56名、「ない」44名7)社会的役割・活動状況:就労47名、期限つきで就労2名、ボランティア活動10名、家事8名、学生として活動4名、その他29名8)現在の生活の場:自宅96名、その他4名(施設1名、身体障害者療護施設1名、アパート1名、ケアセンター1名)以上の結果より、方法としてWEB調査であったことも影響し、受傷状況に関わらず、自宅で種々の資源を活用しながら社会活動を行っており、合併症を発症することがあっても、自宅での生活を継続している対象者であることがわかった。したがって、適切な医療を受けることがQOLYを高めることにつながることが示唆された。

The Osaka Chiropractic Injury Association's collaboration was successful, and 100 responses were obtained from the recent survey of chiropractic injuries in Osaka.
