初年度より継続して、質的データ分析コンピューターソフトQSR (Qualitative Solutions & Research) NUD*IST (Non-numerical Unstructured Data, Indexing, Searching, Theorizing)及びNVivoの開発者であるオーストラリア国際質的社会学研究所所長Lyn Richards教授、中国から清華大学、四川大学や漸江大学などの共同研究者たちを招へいし、研究会を開催し、質的データソフトQSR NVivo7を実際に使用し、英語圏で開発された質的データソフトを日本や中国へ応用するときの相違点を同定し、継続して課題を話し合った。2006年11月に『事例研究の革新的方法』を九州大学出版会より刊行した。これは、阪神大震災被災高齢者を事例にとりあげて、はじめて質的データ分析ソフトを日本のコンテクストに応用して行なった研究の具体例でもある。本書の中国語版が2009年9月に《阪神大地震受災者的五年和高齢化社會-案例研究的創新性方法-》として刊行される(中国書店(福岡)・南天書局有限公司(台湾)共同出版)。NVivo7の日本の独占販売元となるコンピュータ会社がHulinks社に決定され、日本語版へのローカライズがすすめられた際、改善すべき諸点について技術的助言を行い、在京オーストラリア大使館で開催された発表会において基調講演を行なった。QSR社とHulinks社とともに九州大学においてもワークショップを開催した。2007年英国で開催された第3回混合手法学会において発表を行い世界各地からの研究者たちと意見交換をした。Lyn Richards教授編集の英国Sage社から2009年春にオンライン刊行されるQSR NVivoを用いた研究事例集"Methods in Practice"にも分担執筆をした。

In the beginning of the year, there was an analysis of QSR (Qualitative Solutions & Research) NUD*IST (Non-numerical Unstructured Data, Indexing, Searching). Theorizing) and Professor Lyn Richards, director of the Institute of Sociology of the Institute of Sociology of the NVivo Association, co-researcher of the Tsinghua University of China and the Jianjiang University of Sichuan University to promote the international use of QSR NVivo7. In November 2006, the innovative method of case study was published by the Publishing Association of Kyushu University.
