项目摘要

本研究は神田茂氏の「日本天文史料」をXMLでマークアップ化を行い、XMLデータベースを用いて実装し、Webアプリケーションとして公開することおよび、マークアップの仕様を公開することが目的である。平成20年度は、「日本天文史料」の文献のデータモデルの策定とデータ校正作業の完了を目指し、作業を進めた。データ校正作業は中西華氏に従事していただき、校正作業に関してはほぼ完了することができた。データモデルの策定は山本と中西華氏と共同で議論しながら策定を進めた。YAML形式でデータを作成することで、入力作業の簡易化を目指して策定を進めたが、文献構造の形態が予想以上にさまざまあり、細かい部分のモデルの策定作業が残ってしまった。データ入力作業は継続して続けていき完成を目指す予定である。日食帯の描画ツールについては実装も完了し、公開に向けてサーバの準備中である。この描画ツールの最大の特徴は地球自転変動パラメータΔTだけでなく潮汐補正値もパラメータとして変化させて日食帯を描画させることができることである。7月7〜11日にオーストラリアで開催された第6回東洋天文学史国際会議にて谷川が「春秋時代の日出・日入帯食」について、相馬が「7世紀の日本の天文学」についてそれぞれ発表を行った。また、12月19、20日に同志社大学・今出川校地にて第2回天文学史研究会および談天の会第41回例会を開催した。関西方面のみならず、遠方からの参加者も多くあり、とても有意義な研究会となった。この研究会の記録は集録として発行した。
