今年度は、前年完了した現地調査のデ-タの集計と分析の作業を行った。名古屋市,仙台市,三鷹市の3地区において回収した684名のアンケ-トのデ-タをもとに「コミュニティセンタ-の住民管理」と「コミュニティの形成」との関連、とくに両者の相互効果がガンマ係数、カイ2乗検定などの統計的手法を用いて分析した。これらの数値から、明瞭で有意な関連のパタ-ンが多数えられた。1.コミセンに関する指標としてその認識度、利用度、管理運営参加度、住民管理意識度などの尺度を作成し、これらを独立変数とし、コミュニティ形成に関する諸指標を従属変数として関連を見ると、前者の変数の後者におよぼす効果は大であった。とくに管理運営への参加度の強化は地域の活性化に効果がある。利用度と地域形成とは擦違う部分があり、その効果は屈折したものがあった。2.コミュニティ形成の指標として、地域集団参加度、地域リ-ダ-度、地域活性化度、近隣交際度、コミュニティ意識度などの尺度を作成し、これらがコミセンの認識、利用、運営参加におよぼす効果をみたところ、いずれも大であった。成熟したコミュニティが、センタ-の自主運営の基盤となっている。3.管理運営に積極的に参加する層は地付き層であるが、住民管理の理想を支持しながらも、現実の運営の在り方には極めて批判的な意識をもち、行政の関与の仕方にも批判的であった。利用度の高い層は新しいタイプの住民層であるが、やはり実態には批判的で、自主運営の在り方は改善の余地が大である。4.コミセンの効果とは、経済的効果ではなく社会的効果の意味で使われているが、地付き層の補強効果と覚醒効果、新しい住民層の参加のによる改変効果などを指摘できる。なお、資料補充のための現地調査を実施する予定であったが、その経費をコンピュ-タの集計費に当てたため、調査は断念せざるをえなかった。
