项目摘要

樹木を見たときの眼球運動を解析した結果、視点の停留や移動は幹と樹冠の形態とによって大きく規定されていることが明らかになった。すなわち、斜幹では直幹に比べて幹により多くの視点が集まり、合わせて幹の傾斜方向によってその特性は大きく異なり、右傾型では幹周辺に視点が集中するのに対し、左傾型では視点がより分散する傾向が見られた。しかし、曲幹では幹の湾曲方向による違いが見られなかったことから、曲幹は直幹ほどには向きによる違いが現れないものと言える。一方、樹冠についてはその密度が高い場合は樹冠全体の形によって眼球運動が大きく規定され、その密度が低い場合は枝振りによって異なり、それが密な場合は視点が樹冠内を細かく動き、疎な場合は幹と太い枝に大きく規定された。次に、樹木からの距離と注視特性の関係を検討した結果、樹木から3〜5mの地点が樹木を見る場合の近景と中景を分ける距離になるものと考えられた。さらに、複数の樹木に対する眼球運動を解析した結果、樹冠密度が高く、ひとつにまとまった樹形では個々の樹木が対立し易いのに対して、樹冠密度が低く樹冠の形に凹凸のある樹形では相互を関連づけてみる傾向がみられた。植物をみたときの脳波を色彩の面から解析するため、色彩と脳波の関係について分析した結果、黄、緑、白、青、黒、赤、紫、灰のほとんどの色においてα波とβ波、α波とθ波の間にはそれらの発生量に比例的関係がみられた。そこで、これらの回帰直線を求め、その傾きを比較すると、多くの色の間にはかなりはっきりとした違いがあると同時に、いくつかの色では性差もみられた。こうした中で、植物の色として代表的な緑色は他の色に比べて多様な反応をもたらす色であることがわかり、植物やそれが主たる構成要素となる緑地の視覚心理的な効果を解明するための重要な手がかりが得られた。
