The Study of Geographic Fields for Intraurban Migration : An Example of Kanazawa City

本研究于1994年进行，目的是明确（a）金泽市的城市内迁移和城市内区域特征，（B）作为主导空间因素的基本因素，距离对于城市内迁移的重要性，因此，对城市内迁移和城市内区域特征分别应用了因子分析技术。和聚类分析的派生因素得分的目的是在城市内的人口普查区之间分组。分析结果表明，城市内部人口迁移的区域连续性不一定占主导地位，但城市内部区域特征的连续性显著，除此之外，还对城市内部人口迁移和城市内部区域特征进行了典型分析，以寻求两者之间的相互关系。分析结果表明，城市内部区域特征的典型变量几乎可以完全解释城市内部人口迁移的全部方差，并利用覆盖一至四阶多项式近似的距离迁移模型，对城市内部迁移人口和迁移住户进行了分析。分析了距离对城市内部人口迁移的重要性。结果表明，四阶多项式模型的拟合优度最好。

The present research conducted in 1994 was to make clear both (a) intraurban migration and intraurban-regional characteristics in Kanazawa City and (b) the significance of distance for intraurban migration as a fundamental factor in terms of the dominant spatial factor.Thus, factor analysis technique was applied for both intraurban migration and intraurban-regional characteristics respectively, and cluster analysis for the derived factor scores with the purpose of grouping among census tracts within the city. The results of those analyzes show that the regional continuity for the intraurban migraion is not necessarily dominant on one hand, while the continuity for the intraurban-regional characterictis is remarkable on the other hand.In addition to the above-mentioned analyzes, canonical analysis was applied for both intraurban migration and intraurban-regional characteristics in order to seek for the interrelationships between those two integrated terms. As the results of analysis, it was found that the canonical variables for the intraurban-regional characteristics could explain almost completely all the variance of intraurban migration.Moreover, both the migrated pcrsons and the migrated households by distance-belts within the city area were analyzed with the distance-migration models covering first to forth degrees of polynominal approximation, which analysis was conducted to estimate the importance of distance for the intraurban migraion. And the results show that the forth degree of polynominal model has the best goodness-of-fit.
