项目摘要

各研究者が、資料を収集しながら個別のテーマ(余暇行政の法的諸問題、余暇問題と生涯スポーツ学習、余暇とサービス経済、余暇問題と自動車産業、余暇消費・供給の国際的関連、余暇の青年社会学、余暇と環境など)に沿った研究を進めるとともに、定期的な研究会で意見を交換しながら、実証・理論の双方から「現代余暇研究」を展開してきた。第1に、93年8月には長野県のほぼ全域にわたるフィールド調査・ヒアリング調査が、研究者の共同により実施された。我が国で代表的な観光・リゾート・エリアである信州で行われたこの実態調査は、大変意義深いものであった。第2に、我が国では数少ない余暇活動を分析している研究機関・研究組織(余暇開発センター、東洋大学観光産業研究所、旅の文化研究所など)から、複数のゲスト・スピーカーを招き、活発な意見交換ができた。第3に、研究者の研究成果の公表という形で公開講座を開き、一般社会人との交流に努めた。そのほか各研究者の個別テーマに沿った研究発表の場を定例研究会として設け、研究者の相互交流、研究促進に努めた。最後に、研究成果については、関西大学経済・政治研究所『研究双書』第86冊「現代余暇研究」(1994年3月)および『調査と資料』第85号「余暇生活とリゾート開発-長野県の実態調査を中心に-」(1994年3月)にとりまとめられている。
