Preparation, analyze and pure blue-emitting electroluminescent devices for Tm ion doped rare-earth oxysulfide thin films evapolated by reactive deposition

项目摘要

Although rare-earth (Y,La, etc) oxide and oxysulfide show efficient luminescence excited with cathode ray and ultraviolet light, there are only a few reports on studies of electro-luminescent devices used these materials, because of difficulty for high quality films.In this study, the growth technique for Tm^<3+> ion doped rare-earth oxysulfide thin films (Y_2O_2 : Tm, La_2O_2S : Tm) having stoichiometric composition are developed in order to obtain the pure blue-emitting electroluminesent device.The following results were obtained.(1) The coprecipitation method is suitable for the prepareation method of the oxide-fluorescent powder which is used as the starting material for the evaporation.In the case of the oxysulfide-fluorescent powder, it is the suitable technique that sulfur is added in the oxide-fluorescent podwer and fired (sulfuration) .(2) Oxide-fluorescent thin-films having good crystallinity were obtained.(3) Oxysulfide-fluorescent thin-films having good crystallinity were also obtained by reactive deposition of the oxide-fluorescent powder and the sulfur.(4) Rare-earth oxide and rare-earth oxysulfide thin-film electroluminescent devices which have stacked structure of the emission layrs and semicoductor layrs show blue emission.(5) The excitation mechanism of the emission center was discussed in order to improve the luminance of electroluminescent device.
尽管稀土(Y,La等)氧化物和硫氧化物在阴极射线和紫外光的激发下表现出高效的发光性能,但由于难以获得高质量的薄膜,利用这些材料制备电致发光器件的报道还很少。为了获得纯的蓝色发光器件,研制了具有化学计量比的离子掺杂稀土硫氧化物薄膜(Y_2O_2:Tm,La_2O_2S:Tm)。获得了以下结果:(1)共沉淀法适用于作为蒸发起始原料的氧化物荧光粉的制备方法。对于硫氧化物-荧光粉,在氧化物荧光粉中加入硫磺并烧成(硫化)是合适的工艺。(2)得到了结晶度良好的氧化物荧光薄膜。(3)通过反应沉积氧化物荧光粉和硫磺也得到了结晶度良好的氧化物荧光薄膜。(4)稀土氧化物和稀土氧化物硫氧化物薄膜电致发光器件具有发射层和半导体层的堆叠结构,呈现蓝色发射。(5)为了提高电致发光器件的亮度,对发射中心的激发机理进行了讨论。
