Studies on Tropical Medicinal Plants

用小鼠肉瘤180腹水和V-79、P388和KB细胞分别测定了采自南美洲和印度尼西亚的许多新热带植物的抗肿瘤和细胞毒活性。对这些筛选试验显示具有生物活性的植物进行了进一步的研究，以确定它们的活性成分。对这些植物中活性成分的分离、结构鉴定和生物活性进行了研究。从罗汉果科植物龙须草中分离得到3个生物活性成分，分别为苦豆素类化合物、角鲨烯类三萜醚类化合物和三氯没食子烷型三萜类化合物，从五味子属植物中分离得到芳香化三萜类化合物及其二聚体，从防风草科植物中分离得到异喹啉和氮杂菲生物碱。

Many plants collected in the neotropical region, mainly in South America and Indonesia, were assayd for their antitumor and cytotoxic activities by using Sarcoma 180 ascites in mice and V-79, P388 and KB cells, respectively. Those plants shown to be biologicaly active by these screening tests were further investigated to identify their active principles. The isolation, structural elucidation and biological activities of active principles from those plants were studied. As the biological active compounds, quassinoids, squalene-type triterpene ethers and tirucallane-type triterpenes were isolated from Eurycoma longifolia (Simaroubaceae), aromatized triterpenes and their dimers from Maytenus plants (Celastraceae), and tropoloisoquinoline and azafluoranthene alkaloids from Cissampelos pareira and Abuta concolor (Menispermaceae).
