*前年度に8名の舞踊家を対象として行った呼吸測定の実験結果を検討の上、呼吸と動作の相関が最も明瞭に示される玉城節子(玉城流翔節会)の事例を主に取り上げて呼吸曲線と舞踊譜を併記した資料を作成し、他の事例を参照しながら呼吸と動きの分節の相関について検討を加えた。*琉球舞踊における呼吸は、等拍な呼吸の部分とタメ、アテなどの技法に伴って顕著な変化が見られる部分とに区別され、それは琉球舞踊の技法あるいは表現の持つ踊り的な部分と舞的な部分とに対応していることが確認された。また、舞的な部分においては呼吸が動きの分節を明確に形成している重要な要素となっていることがわかった。*動きの分節は組み合わされてさらに大きな分節を形成するが、その流れは舞踊表現において極めて重要なものであり、ここには地謡の呼吸が大きく関与していることがわかった。すなわち琉球音楽の楽譜である工工四に記載されている声出、声切の指定を動きの分節を記入した舞踊譜と対照させると、両者がほぼ一致していることが確かめられた。*今後の課題としては、呼吸と芸質との関係についての検討が必要となろう。
