戦後農地改革期の農業関係資料(農地改革、食料供出、開拓など)の所蔵状態を探るため、主要な農業地帯を構成する、北海道、秋田、京都、鹿児島で資料調査を行った。とくに豊富な資料が保存されている秋田県では集中的な資料調査を行い、県公文書館所蔵の県庁文書のほか、平鹿郡旧醍醐村の戦時から戦後改革期にかけての役場文書を撮影・収集した。本格的な分析は次年度の課題であるが、醍醐村関係資料の中にか、農地改革をはさむ時期の農家経営の変化を個別に追跡しうる資料が含まれており、戦後自作農の系譜を具体的に追跡することが可能である。戦後改革期の農業政策構想を検討する際には、占領当局の政策構想と現実の関与について追跡しなければならないが、この点については、GHQが占領行政を総括した“History of Non-Military Activities of the Occupation of Japan 1945-195"の農業関連報告を収集分析した。占領政策の関与という点では、従来農地改革との関連に研究が集中していたが、本資料の「農業」の巻では、供出制度、開拓、土地改良、技術普及、生産政策等の多様な分野で、占領当局の様々な関与・介入のあったことが詳細に報告されている。現在当資料は全文翻訳し公刊することを計画している。国内の農政担当者に関する資料については、戦前から戦後農地改革期にかけて大きな影響力を及ぼした石黒忠篤の談話記録(日本農業研究所所蔵)を入手したが、戦時農政の実態と官僚層の問題意識がリアルに語られており、該当時期の研究には必須の文献であることがわかった。

The data of agricultural officials in China were collected during the period of agricultural reform, and the records of the conversations between the former and the latter were collected by the Japan Agricultural Research Institute. The consciousness of the problem of the actual bureaucracy of agricultural administration was collected during the period. The necessary documents were collected during the period.
