项目摘要

本研究の全体目的は、職人の技能・技術をわかりやすく評価し、明文化して蓄積すること、さらに、この知識を産業のみならず工芸美術教育に生かすことである。本年度は、昨年度構築した職人データベースの情報収集を中心に活動した。また、データベースに蓄積された個人情報の扱いについて、個人情報保護に関する視点に留意し、Web上のセキュリティを強める仕組みを追加した。この点については、データベースの使い勝手や情報交換の利便面と個人情報管理面の両面からどのように配慮するのか、引き続き検討すべき方向が明らかになった。また、これまでに地域工芸産業界と共同でデザインや制作協力したものを出展し、その評価とニーズ調査を行ってきたが、本年度においても引き続き、企業とのコラボレーションを通じた作品の制作を実施し(17年度成果参照)、大学や異業種の職人や企業の連携を推進し循環型社会に対応したものづくりについて考察することができた。一方、大学の工芸美術教育に職人データベースを適用することや継続的な利用のためには、情報の更新方法や教育カリキュラムとの連携の工夫、職人の技能・技術の視覚化について研究を進める必要性がある。また、職人の技能や技術の継承には、その完成された作品以外に、道具や作業環境の調査も重要である。今後本研究で得られた成果を基に、熟練した技能のあらたな継承方法を提案する研究に発展させていきたいと考えている。
