项目摘要

マイノリティ・ビジネス発展の国際比較を企図したこの研究プロジェクトは、萌芽研究として予定した研究成果を挙げることによって終了することが出来た。一昨年、昨年のフィールドサーベイ、インタビュー、文献調査等の実証成果を踏まえて、平成17年度においては特にプロジェクトのファインディングをまとめ、それを広くこのテーマに関心を持つ研究者に公表することを一義的な目標とした。特に、日本におけるマイノリティ・ビジネスの研究の中心的役割をこれまで果たし、多くの研究者が関心を寄せている経営史学会において、その神戸大学における全国大会において関連分野の研究者を一堂に集めて、マイノリティ・ビジネスについての日本における最初のパネルを組織できたことは、今後のこのテーマの研究発展において、大きな画期を築けたと自負している。特に注記すべきことは、このパネルにおいて、これまでの日本におけるマイノリティ・ビジネス研究が陥っていた細分化、すなわちそれぞれのマイノリティ集団ごとに研究が蓄積され、集団を超えた歴史的、経済的特性に関する考察がほぼ全くなされていない、という問題を克服できたことは重要である。日本の2大マイノリティ集団、韓国・朝鮮系と中国系のビジネスがどのように歴史的に生成して、発展して来たかが比較史的に議論できたことは、今後の研究者の交流による相乗効果を考えると特筆に価する。すなわち、それぞれの民族集団の考察において、ビジネスおよび経済のトピックは、他の政治、社会、教育といったテーマとの関連で議論がなされ、民族を超えて例えばビジネスの発展と構造においてどのような同質性と差異があるかについては、事実上視野に入ることがなかった。今回の比較研究で理解できた、特定産業への特化、また地域におけるマイノリティ・ビジネスの集積メカニズムの解明は、アメリカにおいて蓄積されてきた諸マイノリティ集団におけるビジネスの成長と比較した場合、国際的な研究への橋渡しとして興味深い結論を出している。まとめれば、このプロジェクトは、まさに萌芽研究として、今後の比較考察、国際研究の出発点としての十分な役割を成し遂げたと集約できる。
