Primarily, the syntheses of the molybdenum complexes <[Mo_4S_4(edta)_2]^(n-)> (n = 2, 4) and <[Mo_4S_4(NH_3)_(12)]^(4+)> were made, the known complex <[Mo_4S_4(edta)_2]^(3-)> being used as the starting material, and then the measurement of their physical properties as well as the determination of their X-ray structures were carried out.In the course of these investigations, the formation of incomplete cubane-type cluster <Mo_3> <O_x> <S_(4-x)> were found out; actually, the complexes <[Mo_3S_4(H_2O)_9]^(4+)> , <[Mo_3S_4(ida)_3]^(2-)> , <[Mo_3OS_3(ida)_3]^(2-)> , <[Mo_3OS_3(cys)_3]^(2-)> , and <[Mo_3O_2S_2(NCS)_9]^(5-)> were isolated, researches on their physical properties and X-ray structures being performed.Furthermore, the peculiar behavior of <[Mo_3S_4(H_2O)_9]^(4+)> ion in the case of its reaction with some metals (Fe, Ni, Cu, Hg, Mg) was studied.
