Towards a compilation of Polish dictionary by using a personal computer

我们的研究目标是：1)在个人计算机的帮助下开发最有效的编纂波兰语-日语和日语-波兰语词典的系统；2)使用该系统实际编纂这些词典。在我们三年的研究计划中，我们一直致力于以下几个方面的工作：1)设计和完善基本系统：为了编纂一部词典，收集大量的材料，对它们进行长期管理，并进行有效的处理是必不可少的。为了处理这些任务，我们设计了一个由原始数据库文件、基本数据库文件、后处理数据库文件和主数据库文件组成的四层数据库系统。2)实际收集编纂波兰语词典并对其进行处理的材料：我们从文学作品、科学文献和一些波兰语词典，如W.Doroszewski的Siownik Poprawnej polszczyzny等收集了编纂波兰语-日语词典的基本材料，并将其输入基本数据库文件。目前，我们正在对基础数据库中的数据进行处理，并建立后处理数据库和集合数据库。3)初步编写波日词典：在主数据库文件数据的基础上，我们已经开始编写《波兰语日语基本词汇》。4)构建日语-波兰语词典编纂数据库系统：我们目前正在重新编译主数据库文件中的数据，并为日语-波兰语词典的编纂构建数据库系统。

Our research aims 1) to develop the most efficient system of compiling a Polish-Japanese and a Japanese-Polish dictionary with the aid of personal computer, 2) to compile actually these dictionaries using this system. For the three years of our research program we have been working oil the following subjects.1) Designing and improving the basic system: In order to compile a dictionary, it is essential to collect the immense mass of materials, to manage them for a long time, and to process them efficiently. For the purpose of dealing with these tasks, we have designed a four layer database system which consists of primary database files, basic database files, postprocessing database files and master database files.2) Actually collecting materials for compiling a polish dictionary and processing them: We have collected fundamental materials for compiling a Polish-Japanese dictionary from literary works, scientific literature and some Polish-Polish dictionaries, e.g. W.Doroszewski's Siownik poprawnej polszczyzny, and have inputted them into basic data base files. We are now processing data in the basic database and constructing the postprocessing database and the muster database.3) Compiling tentatively a Polish-Japanese dictionary: We have started to compile A Polish-Japanese Basic Vocabulary on the basis of the data in master database files. A part of this is presented in our published report.4) Constructing database system for compiling a Japanese-Polish dictionary: We are now in the process of recompiling the data in master database files and constructing a database system for the compilation of a Japanese-Polish dictionary.
