项目摘要

<研究方法>研究課題自体が萌芽的性格をもつところから、研究は、課題に関する研究が最も集中的に行なわれつつある北欧諸国の原資料を収集すると同時に、北欧審議会主催の下に5月にオスローで開催された「第2回バルト海沿岸地域議会会議」に同審議会の事務総長によって特別招請された機会を利用して最新の情報を入手し、これを行ない、その成果を著書の形に結実させた。<研究成果>研究課題が、社会科学分野において空間的および事項的に広がりをもっているので、研究成果もまた、関連的成果と直接的成果に大別することができる。1、関連的成果。研究課題を周辺から固めていく研究成果としては、北極圏国際協力と中立政策との関連に触れる論文「フィンランド中立政策概念の変容」と著書「オーランド島:自治と中立」がある。2、直接的成果。直接的成果は、著書「北極圏国際協力」(単著)の完成である。北極圏における国際協力に対する関心は1993年になってから急速に高まり、8月16日、17日には、アイスランドの首都レイキャヴィークにおいて第1回目の北極圏国際会議が開催されることになっている。研究代表者はこの会議への出席を招請されているので、同著書は、すでに完成している内容に会議の模様を緊急追加して1993年10月に出版される。

Representatives of the study invited participants to attend the conference, and the book was published in October 1993.
