1.旧石器時代の狩猟具、特に槍先形尖頭器と細石器の資料を収集し、論文「縄紋文化の発現-日本旧石器時代構造変動論(3)-」を執筆し、旧石器時代から縄紋時代への生業の変動を明らかにした。2.洞穴遺跡に関する資料を収集中で、今夏までに定住民の狩猟活動における洞穴の利用法をまとめる予定である。3.旧マタギ高橋昭六氏による仕掛け罠の仕掛け場(30ヵ所)を記録し、いわゆる狩人のホーム・レインジの一事例を明らかにできた。4.和賀川上流部にある「安穴」を踏査し、マタギの洞穴利用の実例を記録した。5.新潟県朝日村三面のマタギについて、民俗学者の田口洋美氏から情報の提供をいただき、今夏の調査の準備を進行中である。6.平成4年度の調査の報告「マタギの土俗考古学-岩手県沢内村での罠猟の調査-」を発表した。
