1)前年度に引き続き,屋外と屋内における試験環境下で出土木材の水中保存中の劣化を追跡調査した.発生した微生物を顕微鏡を用いて同定することを試みたが,現段階では,菌種およびバクテリアの種の同定には至っていない.2)材質分析の結果は,いずれも水中保存中に劣化が進行することを示した.特に表面からの劣化の進行が,水中保存中において,いわば「材がやせていく」という現象を如実に示すものである.また,顕微鏡による細胞壁の劣化状態の観察から,種々の微生物による様々な劣化形態が認められた.3)水中保存中の出土木材に存在する微生物を単離し,培養することを試みたが,単離法ならびに培養条件の設定に難があり,培養には至っていない.現在,種々の防腐剤の投入による腐朽の抑制が検討されている.しかし,それらについては薬害や有効性に依然として種々の問題を有しているのが現状である微生物の同定とあわせ,単離・培養の問題を解決することで,出土木材を水中保存中において劣化させる微生物の生息条件を知り,その上で水中保存の良好な条件を設定することが可能となるものと思われる.

1)In the past year, the deterioration of wood preserved in water was investigated under outdoor and indoor conditions. The results of material analysis show that the degradation of microorganisms in water is progressing. In particular, the deterioration of the surface is ongoing, and during preservation in water, the phenomenon of "materials are everywhere" and "materials are everywhere" is clearly demonstrated. 3) Isolation and culture of microorganisms existing in excavated wood preserved in water, and the difficulty in setting culture conditions. Now, the input of seed preservatives is discussed in the process of corrosion inhibition. To solve the problem of microbial identification and isolation and culture, to know the living conditions of microorganisms in the process of preservation of excavated wood in water, and to set good conditions for preservation in water.
