変形作用の原因と結果を規定する二つの禁制のうち,対称律については,すでにこれまでの研究によって,原則的な完成をみているが,第2の禁制である相似率は,未完成のままになっていて,方法論的にもやや混沌とした感があった.この問題を進めるため,実施した研究項目は以下のとおりである.1.変形地質構造の野外調査と構造解析2.異なる変形帯にみられる変形構造の系大敵相似性の比較3.変形構造の変形相解析4.関連分野の研究者達との討論及び意見交換5.文献調査と資料整理今回明らかにすることができたが諸点と,新に提起された問題は次のとおりである.1.変形相の等相・異相に関しては,4つの場合があること.2.互いに相似な変形構造は,上記4つの場合のうち,平均延性度と延性度較差がともに等しい場合であること.すなわち完全等相であること.3.したがって,現段階では相似律の禁制的表現として,「互いに相似な変形構造は,平均延性度及び延性度較差がそれぞれ等しい場合以外には形成され得ない」とするのが適当である.4.新たな問題点は,延性度そのものの概念が複合的性格のものであるため,変形相の同定・対比という最も基本的な問題の議論が,循環するおそれなしとしないのではないか,という疑問でる.新な問題の解決には若干の時間を要する状況にあり,目下とりまとめの準備中である.
