I.本年度達成された研究成果および内容1)本大学歯学部放射線所有のディジタルX線画像処理用ワークステーション(CRステーション)をコンピュータネットワーク(TCR/IP接続Ethernet)に接続した。またネットワーク上のコンピュータからこのワークステーションとデータを共有するためのマイクロコンピュータとその通信制御用ソフトウエアを導入した。2)矯正科所有の画像処理用マイクロコンピュータに,高画像ディスプレイおよびネットワーク接続用ソフトウエアを導入し,ネットワークに接続した。3)1)の画像ステーションの保存画像規格を2)の画像処理コンピュータの規格に変換するプログラムおよび画像データ転送プログラムを開発した。4)従来法により撮影されたX線フイルムを利用して,レーザースキャナーにてディジタル化した画像データおよび,通常のスキャナーを利用して作製したディジタル画像を作成する手法を確立した。以上により,本大学放射線科所有の患者X線画像データが,従来のフイルムのみならずディジタルデータとして収集可能になり,矯正科独自の保管や利用が可能になった。II.現在の研究の進行状況現在このネットワーク画像転送システムを利用して,患者画像データの収集と成果,各種ディジタル画像の画質の比較,分析を行っている。各種ディジタル画像の画質の比較には,それぞれの画像を同一コンピュータのディスプレイ上で比較することだけではなく,すべてのデジタル画像に対し矯正臨床で行っているものと同様のトレースを行い,その際のトレース誤差および変動を指標にした統計的検討を行っている。これにより,従来の主観的な画質の評価に対し,客観的な評価を行うことが可能になった。
