A Study of the Design Support System for Preservation, Maintenance, Restoration, and Renewal of Roads

(1)研究人员试图构建设计信息数据库系统，以帮助设计道路进行保护、维护、恢复和更新。这些信息是从196个实际道路设计案例中提取出来的，并通过口头描述和图片图像的方式记录下来。根据对道路功能、道路空间、环境、景观、道路建设管理等方面的影响或影响，将数据库的内容分为16类。(2)在数据库系统的基础上，构建了支持设计者构思设计形象的形象塑造辅助系统。研究人员对图像化形象处理系统和言语形象描述系统的原理、可能性和存在的问题进行了研究，阐述了系统的基本思想、方法和系统组成。(3)在数据库系统的基础上，尝试构建了以知识(数据)为事实和问题解决规则的知识库系统。该系统被认为有助于：(A)说明设计所依据的背景；(B)澄清设计的主题问题、目标、效果等；(C)确定与设计中物质要素的组成和空间安排有关的问题结构。

(1) The investigators have attempted to construct the database system of design information which contributes to design roads for preservation, maintenance, restoration, and renewal. The information was extracted from 196 cases of actual road design, and was recorded by means of verbal descriptions and pictorial images. The contents of database were analyzed and classified into 16 categories in terms of effects or impacts on road functions, road space, environment, landscape, and road construction management.(2) Based on the database system, the image configuring aiding system, which supports for designers to conceive design images, was tried to construct. The investigators studied the theory, possibilities and problems of the system which deals with pictorial images for iconic image and image description for verbal image, and described fundamental ideas, methodology and system composition.(3) Based on the database system, the investigators made an attempt to construct knowledge-base system which consists of the knowledge (data) as facts and the rules for problem solving. The system is considered to be useful for :(a) specification of the context of the ground the design was placed,(b) clarification of the subject issues, the targets, effects etc.of the design,(c) identification of problem structure concerning composition and spatial arrangement of physical elements in the design.
