平成七年度においては、我々は、以下の知見を得ることが出来た。Long Evans(LE)ラットおよびRoyal College of Surgeons(RCS)ラット培養網膜色素上皮細胞cDNAライブラリの二種類のcDNAライブラリを用いてサブトラクションライブラリを作成した。サブトラクションライブラリーをスクリーニング・塩基配列の決定作業を行ったところ数個のクローンから構成されており、従来報告のない塩基配列のクローンも含まれていた。現在、我々は、新たに見つかったクローンの同定をすべく、5'race法を用いて獲得されたクローンの全長を調べ、視細胞外節貪食能に関する機能的解析を行っている。以上に関連して下記の学会で発表した。The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology 1995 ‘95 ISN Satellite Symposium “Retinal Degeneration and Regeneration"
