本研究では、Al, Cu等合金に、それぞれMg, Ti等の水素との親和力の強い元素を含有させて、HDDR現象発現および結晶粒微細化効果の有無を検討することを目的とした。Al-3~7.8mass%Mg合金およびCu-3mass%Ti合金について、水素化および脱水素化処理を施すことによって、HDDR現象が発現し、結晶粒径が数10nmに超微細化した。一方、水素化処理を施したCu-3mass%Ti合金においては引張応力と導電率が同時に向上することを見出した。
