Lifestyle migrant clusters in rural Japan: implications for rural entrepreneurship, quality of life and community resilience

1)田野调查与研究：本研究以生活型态移民为研究对象。数据处理和分析也在继续。PI，作为USASBE（美国小企业和创业协会）农村研究员，还领导了第一个USASBE“农村创业教育证书”计划作为讲师。这涉及在意大利农村城镇的研究，以学习研究农村创业的新方法和框架，体验农村生态系统，并学习教学技能的新技术。这导致了1本书的章节和5个同行评审的期刊出版物。PI还与USASBE进行了国际合作，对农村创业进行了系统的文献综述，并将于2023年作为综述论文提交。PI还担任《创业教育和教育学》杂志关于农村创业教育特刊的编辑，并担任《可持续粮食系统前沿》杂志正在发行的特刊的编辑。（其中1次作为特邀演讲人）和1次国内会议（特邀演讲人）.4）努力在研究与社会之间架起桥梁：参与广岛大学的桥梁社区发展项目，其中包括一个研究部分和实际活动，以支持参与社会的企业家和地方组织。

1) Fieldwork and research: fieldwork was conducted in a lifestyle migrant cluster target of this study. Data processing and analysis also continued. The PI, as a USASBE (US Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship) Rural Research Fellow, also led the very first USASBE ‘Rural Entrepreneurship Education Certificate’ program as an instructor. This involved research in a rural Italian town to learn novel approaches and frameworks to research rural entrepreneurship, experience a rural ecosystem, and learn new techniques for teaching entrepreneurship.2) publications: work on literature connecting lifestyle migration and lifestyle entrepreneurship with rural revitalization and sustainability transitions. This has led to 1 book chapter and 5 peer-reviewed journal publications. With USASBE, the PI has also engaged an international collaboration leading to a systematic literature review on rural entrepreneurship, to be submitted as a review paper in 2023. The PI has also served as editor for a special issue on Rural Entrepreneurship Education in the journal of Entrepreneurship Education and Pedagogy and in an ongoing special issue in the Journal Frontiers in Sustainable Food Systems.3) academic symposiums: attended 2 international conferences (1 of which as an invited speaker) and 1 domestic conference (invited speaker).4) Work to bridge research and society: participation in Hiroshima University’s Bridging Community Development Project, which included a research component and practical activities to support socially engaged entrepreneurs and local organizations.
