過敏性肺炎患者に対する第一の治療は、徹底的な抗原回避（原因抗原の吸入や接触を回避すること）である。しかし、徹底的な抗原回避の実施や長期にわたる継続は困難な場合も多く、医療者による継続的な支援が必要となる。現状では抗原回避を促す支援方法は十分に検討されていないが、抗原回避の実施状況が患者の病状進行や予後へ影響を及ぼすため、支援方法の確立は喫緊の課題である。患者の抗原回避の実施・継続において、家族の存在は大きく影響を及ぼす。患者の予後を左右しうる抗原回避が適切に行われるよう、患者のみならず家族に対しても支援を検討する余地がある。そのため、本研究では患者・家族の医療支援ニーズを探るため、抗原回避の必要性を指摘された過敏性肺炎患者およびその家族を対象とした面接調査を実施した。2021年度に面接調査のデータ収集を終え、2022年度はその内容を分析し、療養体験について過敏性肺炎患者およびその家族が語った内容から、抗原回避を実施する過程で患者およびその家族が抱える医療支援ニーズを抽出した。そして、研究結果の一部を国際学会にて報告した。補足的な文献調査では、2019年4月までに発表された過敏性肺炎患者の抗原回避に関する文献については概ね内容を把握できているため、それ以降に発表された文献を中心に調査した。近年に国内外の重要な診療指針やガイドラインが報告されており、今後さらに検討すべき臨床課題について示唆を得た。
