项目摘要

本研究課題が採択された平成22年度9月から今までの半年間において、実施した研究の進展政び成果をまとめて報告させていただく。研究計画書に書いた通り、一年目には、カメラネットの設置及びビデオ撮影による実験データの収集作業と共に、従来のデータベースに基づき自動要約手法の検討を行った。主に、以下の内容が含まれる:1. 実験室内カメラネットの設置。実験環境を構築するために、カメラ仕様の決定、購入及び設置工事を行った。同期撮影できるように、ネットワークの調整、カメラ制御及びビデオ取得するプログラムの開発を行った。2. 実験用ビデオデータの撮影。監視システム環境に起きる典型的な異常事件を列挙し、撮影対象となる動作リストを定義することで撮影実験を設計した。本学のライフサイエンス委員会に撮影実験の許可を得て、一回目の撮影実験を行った。撮影されたデータをまとめて、研究者向けのビデオデータベースを作成し、無料で公開した。3. 自動要約手法の検討。監視システムにおいて、異常事件発生の時間帯以外には、事件発生前後の経過及び関係者の軌跡も事件の理解に役立つであろう。それゆえ、ここでは、重要度の低いビデオ内容をより高い速度で再生することで、内容を簡単に省略することにより、最大限に事件記述の完全性を保持できる。さらに、視覚上の快適さも重視し、軌跡の運動速度なども考慮して再生速度を決めた。アダプティブな高速再生が可能な自動要約手法を提案して、従来のスポッツビデオデータベースで検証した。関連論文はICME2011に採用された。4. 追跡、事件認識に関連する手法の検討。撮影されたデータを用いて、複数カメラ環境における人物追跡、動作認識及び事件認識手法を検討している。従来手法を用いて、人物の軌跡が精度よく抽出された。抽出された3次元物体形状に基づいて、動作認識を検討しており、関連論文を既に国際会議ICVS2011に投稿した。
