本研究は、植民地期の朝鮮で提出された「純粋文学」およびそれをめぐる議論を分析し、「純粋文学」（論）が1930年代後半以降の朝鮮においてもちえた意義と限界を、反ナショナリズムの観点から分析するものである。それにより、「純粋文学」を植民地期から連なるナショナリズム批判の系譜に位置づけるとともに、ナショナル・アイデンティティに代わる新たな主体のあり方を提示することが、本研究の最終的な目標である。2022年度は、「純粋文学」をめぐる先行研究を整理しつつ、1930年代の朝鮮／日本本土の思想状況の調査を行った。同時に、「純粋文学」を代表する文学者、金東里の作品および批評テクストの分析も開始した。その成果として、2022年10月2日に開かれた朝鮮学会で、金東里による「純粋文学」の内実をまとめ、口頭発表を行った（「金東里の初期作品における「朝鮮的なもの」の脱構築 」朝鮮学会第73回大会）。翌11月には、韓国での資料調査を行い、日本国内では入手できない新聞・雑誌資料を収集した。新たに入手した資料を踏まえ、内容をさらに発展させたものを、2023年2月11日（「共同体の脱構築と「純粋文学」の地平──植民地期金東里の初期作品を中心に」韓国日本学会第105回国際学術大会）に発表した。2022年度に行ったこれらの調査および分析を通じて明らかにすることができた点は、1930年代の「純粋文学」が、先行世代のプロレタリア文学（マルクス主義）を相対化する過程の中で形成されたこと、マルクス主義的な普遍的歴史発展に囚われない主体性を模索していたこと、さらに、日本本土のいわゆる「近代の超克」論に多くの影響を受けていたことである。とりわけ、当時の「純粋文学」論をリードしていた金東里の作品と文芸批評を分析し、彼の作品の中で、近代的共同体のもつ暴力性が露呈される様相を捉えたことは、今後の研究につながる重要な成果である。
