本年度は、本研究で主要な対象としている縄文時代後・晩期の集落遺跡のうち、奈良県天理市布留遺跡と東大阪市馬場川遺跡・縄手遺跡を主な対象として資料調査をおこない、各遺跡の調査地点ごとの出土土器のデータ化や分析試料のサンプリング等をおこなった。布留遺跡では、布留（堂垣内）地区（縄文時代中期末葉～後期前葉）および三島（木寺）地区（晩期前半）の土器資料を対象に、基礎的な整理作業、図化、圧痕レプリカの採取等を実施した。布留（堂垣内）地区の土器資料のうち、遺構出土の遺物については、発掘調査報告書の分担執筆者として基礎資料の提示をおこなった。これにより、当該期の遺構の考古学的年代を検討するための資料が整い、遺構群の変遷を明らかにすることができた。また、報告外となった遺構外出土土器についても、主に中期末葉～後期初頭の資料について図化作業をおこない、研究の基礎資料とした。これらの資料をもとに、当該期の土器群の編年および地域性について検討を進めた。また、布留遺跡出土土器から採取した圧痕レプリカの低倍率での観察から、複数の種子圧痕が含まれる可能性が見いだされた。今後、高倍率画像の取得および専門研究者から意見を聴取し、種同定を進める。馬場川遺跡・縄手遺跡では、既報告の縄文時代後期前葉の資料および未報告の後期末葉～晩期中葉を主体とする土器資料について、基礎的な整理作業とデータ化、種子圧痕の肉眼探査をおこなった。土器資料の実見により型式比定を進めることで、両遺跡に展開した集落の考古学的な時期について、基礎的なデータを収集した。種子圧痕については、今後、圧痕レプリカの作成をおこなうことで、微細圧痕の同定を進める。なお、いずれの資料群も、土器付着炭化物の遺存が不良であった。そのため、想定よりも採取できた試料点数が少ないことから、炭化物の分析については次年度にまとめておこなうこととした。
